The science behind the powerful effects of music on the brain, human behavior, and our health dates back to Aristotle and Plato. Centuries later we are sill learning the benefits of rhythm and melody on neurological pathways. This presentation will demonstrate the beautiful and innate response our neurological system has to music, and how music therapist use research-based interventions without clients to decrease pain perception, increase communication and relaxation, which can result in positive behaviors and outcomes.
